Persian Rugs

A Persian style rug has a central medallion or an all over floral pattern with a border, usually in reds, blues, creams and golds. Our designs follow the classic look.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms, entryways and bedrooms, especially with wood furniture. In a modern room, a muted version keeps the look relaxed.

Choose a size that lets the front legs of the sofa and chairs rest on the rug, usually 8x10 or 9x12 in a living room. Size names are rounded, so check the actual size shown under Size on each rug.

A pad keeps a Persian style rug flat so its border stays square to the room, and it stops the rug from sliding on hardwood, laminate and tile. Choose a pad about 1 inch smaller than the rug on every side so the edges stay hidden; the sizes are listed in our rug pad collection.

Persian style rugs come in cream, beige, blue and red, often with a medallion pattern and a border. Cream and beige suit most rooms, and red and blue give a stronger focal point.
