How to choose a nursery rug
Start with where the rug will sit. A 5x8 or larger rug under the changing area and rocking chair keeps your feet off a cold floor, and a smaller rug beside the crib works in a compact room. Soft, light colours also show less of the everyday mess of a nursery.
What size nursery rug do I need?
Measure the space you want to cover and leave a few inches of bare floor at the walls. Our guide to measuring for an area rug and our nursery rug guide walk through it step by step.
Should a nursery rug have a pad?
A rug pad keeps the rug flat and in place, which matters where a parent walks with a baby in their arms.
