Ivory / Cream Rugs

Light rugs show marks more than mid tones, so vacuum regularly, blot spills right away and check the care label before cleaning. A pattern or a two tone design is more forgiving than a plain light rug.

Grey, navy, black, wood and warm neutrals. A cream rug brightens a dark room and makes a small room feel more open.

Choose a size that lets the front legs of the sofa and chairs rest on the rug in a living room, usually 8x10 or 9x12, and a 5x8 or 6x9 for a bedroom. Size names are rounded, so check the actual size shown under Size on each rug.

A pad keeps a light rug flat and in place on hardwood, laminate and tile, and it adds cushion underfoot. Choose a pad about 1 inch smaller than the rug on every side so the edges stay hidden; the sizes are listed in our rug pad collection.

Ivory is a slightly warmer white, and cream has a little more yellow. Both brighten a room and go with grey, navy and wood tones.
