Floral Rugs

Floral rugs work in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and entryways. A large floral pattern makes a statement in a room with plain furniture, and a small repeating pattern is easier to mix with other patterns.

Yes. Abstract and oversized florals look modern, while detailed florals suit a traditional room. Look at the scale and colours of the pattern, not only the flowers.

Pick one colour from the flowers or leaves, such as blue, green or rose, and repeat it in a cushion or curtain. Plain sofas and walls let the pattern stand out.

Choose a size that lets at least the front legs of your sofa and chairs rest on the rug in a living room, and a 5x8 or 6x9 for a bedroom. Size names are rounded, so check the actual size shown under Size on each rug.

Choose a floral rug with one colour that already appears in your sofa or cushions. A plain sofa lets a large floral pattern stand out, and a patterned sofa works better with a small, quiet floral.
